Born in Tokyo in 1996.
While living in Yamagata, Watanabe began working with natural materials.
Using materials such as ivy and wisteria, she incorporates traditional Japanese elements such as "knotting" and "folding" into her work.
Watanabe collects natural materials herself in Yamagata and Iwate, and creates everyday items with her distinct and refined sensibility. Using natural materials, each piece differs from the next. Watanabe wishes for people to feel the natural atmosphere of Yamagata and Iwate and a sense of warmth and gentleness when holding her work.
Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
