A Samurai Story Cultivated in Tokyo

Rooted in The SG Club in Shibuya, Tokyo, this brand was born from a unique concept: What if the samurai of the 1860 Japanese Embassy to the United States returned to New York to open a bar? Embodying this vision, Sip & Guzzle New York was crowned the No. 1 bar in North America in 2026.

Shingo Gokan

Shingo Gokan is the founder of SG Group and one of the most celebrated bartenders in the world today. After moving to New York in 2006 to hone his craft, he went on to win the global title while representing the United States at the 2012 Bacardi Legacy, the world’s largest cocktail competition. He has developed innovative bar concepts worldwide and holds the record for the most cumulative awards from The World’s, Asia’s, and North America’s 50 Best Bars. In 2021, he was honored with the Roku Industry Icon Award, recognizing him as a defining figure in the global bar industry.

Yutaro Kimura

Yutaro Kimura is a leading Japanese glass designer and the fourth-generation head of a prestigious glassmaker that has supplied premium glassware to top Japanese restaurants and hotels for more than a century. By fusing innovative ideas with traditional values, he continues to explore beautiful, minimalist forms that naturally invite touch, creating masterpieces that expand the expressive range of professionals everywhere.
