LinNe
March 15 FRI - 29 FRI, 2024
We are pleased to announce a POP UP of LinNe, a brand of orin with a history of more than 200 years in Kyoto.
Their orin , made of a special alloy called "sahari", which started as Buddhist instruments, is carefully handcrafted one by one to produce a beautiful and lingering sound that can be used in daily life.
At CIBONE, the launch of a series of tabletop orin combined with braided strings, a traditional Kyoto technique in original colors and also the late Ryuichi Sakamoto loved relaxation sound player "Synclee," which is said to have been used in his musical activities before his death, will also be on display and available for order.
Through a single sound, traditional techniques and wisdom cultivated over many years will deliver the sounds necessary for people living in the present age.
LinNe
"LinNe" specializes in the production of Sahari made orin (Japanese traditional singing bowls), gongs for the Gion Festival and other festivals, and narimono-shinbutsugu (sacred Buddhist instruments), all made by hand in Kyoto. Sahari is a metal alloy used in ancient Shosoin treasures. It is an alloy of copper and tin blended to the utmost limit in order to improve the tone and reverberation.
The tone of sahari is very clear and produces a pleasant reverberation. We hope you will find your favorite tone and adopt the sound of the Sahari Orin in your daily lives.
