You, Me and Them – 2025 – YAMMA Summer POP UP
JULY 25 FRI - AUG 14 THU, 2025
We are pleased to announce You, Me and Them – 2025, a summer pop-up exhibition curated by Nana Yamasaki, the brand director of YAMMA, a Japanese fashion brand known for its use of Aizu Momen, a traditional cotton textile from Japan.
YAMMA is dedicated to creating genderless, ageless, and borderless clothing using this heritage material.
After three consecutive winter pop-ups, YAMMA is making its summer debut this year.
As Aizu Momen is known for keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer, it’s the perfect moment to highlight the fabric’s unique seasonal appeal.
This special edition features collaborations with three U.S.-based artists, each bringing their own artistic approach to YAMMA’s Japanese-made pieces:
Robert Bloom (Brooklyn): Transformed white Aizu Momen fabric into original pieces through his distinctive painterly dyeing style.
Niki Tsukamoto (Lookout & Wonderland, LA): Known for her natural dyeing techniques, she reimagined archival YAMMA samples using subtle plant-based dyes.
Mitsuru “Peaboy” (Brooklyn): Applied his rare “Pea-dye” method to YAMMA garments—unique pieces previously featured at Nepenthes NY and the Isamu Noguchi Museum Shop.
This pop-up offers a thoughtful blend of tradition and creativity—an invitation to rediscover the joy of selecting and gifting something meaningful, whether for yourself or a loved one.
