50 Norman was designed by Japanese creative team Schemata Architects, TANK, village®, and New York-based BLANK design. Each brand's individuality will blend and create a unique inspiration to the place where you can feel empathy and community, and also we hope to be a platform for communicating about Japanese culture by highlighting new artists and hosting events and workshops.

Our sense of values have changed dramatically over the past few years, and the desire for having real communication and building a true relationship became stronger than ever. That's why we decided to step out into the world for a new adventure. We believe that our valuable experience in food and design lead us to a new challenge.

CIBONE opened the first store in Aoyama, Tokyo in 2001, and celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Since the opening, CIBONE has been introducing carefully curated items from all around the world under the concept of "Life Editorial" through exhibitions and events.

We have shared our ideas with artists, as we learned about other cultures often through their craftsmanship. We feel that it's our turn to introduce what we are proud of, Japanese artisan to the world.

CIBONE Brooklyn will offer a variety of special yet daily items centered "around the food" as 50 Norman itself features food and dine. We are planning to hold exhibitions throughout the year at the gallery space.
