Among the many Edo wooden chopsticks, these octagonal shaved chopsticks are the most popular.
The feature of these chopsticks is that they are very soft and comfortable to hold and have no habit of being round. These chopsticks are easy to fit the hands of various customers.
Striped ebony
The main production area of ebony is Indonesia, where it is a member of the family Oysteraceae.
It is very hard and smooth when polished.
Daikokuya handles it as a main material for chopsticks because of its hardness, weight, tenacity, and good finish.
It is also used for high-grade furniture, Buddhist altars, and floor posts.
Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
