The half-sized stockpot spreads heat more evenly to ingredients, making them tenderer, thanks to its drum-shaped design. With a lid, it's perfect for slowly simmering dishes like curry or stew. Crafted by Himeno-saku, a renowned pot workshop established in Taisho 13 (1924).
Himeno-saku's 3rd generation, Hisakazu Himeno, is one of the few hand-beaten pot artisans in Japan. Each pot is meticulously handcrafted with a wish for it to be a lifelong companion for its user.
Key features:
Hammered surface born from hand-beating: Aluminum, naturally soft, becomes durable when hammered, enhancing heat conductivity by expanding the surface area. Heat is evenly distributed to ingredients. Thick 3mm aluminum: Besides its aesthetic appeal and durability, pots made from hammered 3mm aluminum spread heat uniformly, reducing the likelihood of ingredients sticking.
Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
