Keita Suto
Born in 1982 in Ibaraki, Japan. Studied ceramics at Kyoto University of Art and Design. After obtaining his master's degree, he went to Switzerland to deepen his knowledge of European ceramics and art. Currently has a studio in Ibaraki.
Well known with his ceramic work “dress” series.
He creates intentionally broken or contorted objects in the kiln. With his take on the traditional kintsugi process of repairing ceramics with gold, he “dresses” and “repairs” them with thread connected by nails.
