The name “konton” is believed to have originated from the Chinese tradition introduced in the Nara period (710-794). It was popularized in its current form during the Edo period (1603-1867), and is eaten in a variety of ways, including Inaniwa udon in Akita, Mizusawa udon in Gunma, Hoto in Yamanashi, Kishimen in Nagoya, Ise udon in Mie, and Sanuki udon in Kagawa.
Please note that the color may transfer due to perspiration or friction at the beginning of use because of the traditional craft (shizome). When washing, please use plenty of water and hand-wash alone. Hand Dyed | Made in Japan 100% Cotton
