Namasu Plate
"Namasu" is an ancient cooking method in which fish and vegetables are mixed with vinegar and other seasonings. In order to serve the soupy dish, a dish with a raised rim was made, which came to be called a namasu dish.
Handling of red-painted and gilded dishes
Red and gold colors are fired at low temperatures. They are very delicate and can be removed by scrubbing with a hard scrubber. Dishwashers are also taboo. Please wash them gently.
Since this is a vintage item, the shape varies slightly from piece to piece.
We hope you enjoy the surprise of which one you'll receive!
