Product Description
Eiichi Hirose (E. HIROSE) was a Japanese woodblock print artist and creator of ex-libris (bookplates) who was active primarily during the Showa period (1926–1989).
He also created First Day Covers (FDCs) featuring commemorative postmarks combined with hand-colored woodblock prints to mark the issuance of new postage stamps. Many of these works incorporated motifs inspired by Japanese culture and customs.
Each of these first day of issue covers is a mini artwork. Frame for display, add to your paper craft collection, or gift to the philatelist in your life.
Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
