The KISEN Tea Canister Step celebrates the natural beauty of zelkova wood. Its lid and body are made from the same block of wood, allowing the grain to continue across the two parts. When closed, the closely aligned patterns give the canister the presence of a single sculptural object, finished in Smoke Gray.
KISEN takes its name from the “wood lines” formed by a tree’s annual growth rings. A carefully developed double-layer construction makes the continuous grain possible: an inner layer is fitted before the outer form is turned. The result reflects the precision of skilled woodturners and gives each tea canister a pattern unique to the wood from which it was made.
