Product Description
The TSUMUGI Soup Bowl Komagata brings graceful curves and the warmth of zelkova wood to the everyday table. Its wiped urushi lacquer finish highlights the natural grain, giving each bowl its own expression. With a 250 ml capacity, it is suited to a small serving of soup or a side dish.
Each shape in the TSUMUGI collection carries a traditional name passed down through generations. Komagata refers to the shape of a shogi playing piece and also draws on the idea of a young horse, or koma. A foal’s ability to run soon after birth makes it a symbol of advancement and success, lending the bowl an auspicious meaning alongside its everyday function.
