The Decorated Bowl Wavy Lines brings the artistry of Yamanaka woodturning to the everyday table. Crafted from zelkova wood, it features a flowing line pattern that gives its surface a distinctive rhythm. The black finish emphasizes the decoration and the bowl’s carefully shaped form.
Yamanaka’s decorative woodturning techniques use specialized chisels to create either precise parallel lines, cut one by one, or spiral grooves formed in a continuous movement. Together, these techniques are said to produce 40–50 patterns. This bowl invites you to appreciate that tradition through an object made for daily use, with a 300 ml capacity suited to soup or small side dishes.
