The kyusu is a tea container that originated in Japan around the Edo period. The style of pouring tea into the teapot by grasping the handle on the side has a profoundly Japanese feel to it.
The CMA Japanese Teapot is an updated version of this traditional teapot that is now available to the world through the filter of Cecilie Manz.
We envision Aritayaki teapots playing an active role on tables around the world.
A neutral design that is not limited by nationality. A refined form that is not too elegant, yet not too formal, maintaining a good sense of distance.
While being linear, the overall design is not sharp and soft.
The lid, handle, and other prominent parts are carefully crafted down to the smallest detail.
With a capacity of 1500 ml, it can hold a large amount of food, making it ideal for entertaining a large group. Arita-yaki porcelain is highly durable due to its high-temperature firing process, and can be used in dishwashers. It is also practical.
0The porcelain clay (red clay) from Amakusa pottery stone, which contains a large amount of iron, is used in this product. This red clay is characterized by its ability to express warm, natural texture and color. Therefore, iron powder (black spots), uneven glaze, uneven color, and fire marks may occur on the surface. Also, due to the design, there will be some distortion due to the thinness of the rim. Please understand this in advance.
