This glass “chirori” is very useful in Japanese table settings. Originally a tool for heating sake, the chirori was made of metal, but now made of glass, it has an elegant appearance that adds color to the table. When serving cold sake, ice can be placed in the attached cores to cool the sake without diluting the outer surface. The chirori is made of heat-resistant glass so that warm sake can be placed directly into the chirori after it has been heated. If you place the chirori near the inside of a pot, you can also boil water. It is recommended not only for alcoholic beverages but also for tea. Crafted tea, flower tea, and herbal tea will be a beautiful cup for the eyes. Silver soft is also wonderful as a soup stock pot for dashi chazuke or himabushi, since the lid is made of coated metal and there is no need to worry about odor.
