The ceramic artist Takuya Yokoyama's pottery has a classical yet modern look. The white vessels express the texture of plaster as if they have been reliced, but have a shimmer and line that only he can express, and when placed in a space, they stand easily and show a glimpse of elegant elegance. In contrast, his black vessels are chic and classic, with more tension than white vessels, and have a jet-black presence. In recent years, he has been leading the boundaries of Japanese tableware to the next world line by producing red earthenware that allows the viewer to directly feel the fragments of the material, and bowls with green glaze that can be called modern-day Oribe. In addition, his works that do not feel the distance between art and daily-use vessels show his exceptional technique and sense.
