TURN Black

Ambientec N TURN in Black is a rechargeable portable task lamp with a solid aluminum body and a smooth, cool surface. Carved from a single block of metal, TURN takes its name from the turning process: the metal rotates on a lathe as its form is shaped. Its carefully considered construction gives the lamp a substantial feel in the hand.

Set it on a table to bring light closer to what you are doing, then lower the brightness as the evening slows down. A touch at the top of the shade changes the light from a faint, candle-like glow to brighter illumination across the tabletop.

Four Brightness Levels

Touch the top of the shade to cycle through LOW, MID, HIGH, and EX-HIGH. The light becomes progressively brighter and its color temperature changes with each setting.

• LOW: 1800K; approximately 150 hours of continuous use; 0.1W
• MID: 2300K; approximately 38 hours of continuous use; 0.5W
• HIGH: 2400K; approximately 12 hours of continuous use; 1.2W
• EX-HIGH: 2500K; approximately 5 hours of continuous use; 3.5W

Portable Lighting and USB Charging

The rechargeable design lets you move the lamp between settings without keeping it connected to a power cable during use. To recharge, place the lamp on its charging stand and connect the stand to USB power. Charging takes approximately 6 hours.

Water Resistance

The lamp body is rated IP66 for protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets. This rating applies to the lamp body only; the charging stand and AC adapter are not waterproof. IP66 does not indicate protection for immersion in water.

How to Use

• Touch the top of the shade to cycle through the four brightness levels.
• Place the lamp on the charging stand to recharge via USB.
• For outdoor or bathroom use, keep the charging stand and AC adapter separate from the lamp's water-resistant use.

Packaging and AC Adapter

From June 2025, the dedicated AC adapter is no longer included. Packaging has changed from a black decorative box to kraft paper packaging. The lamp itself is unchanged.

TURN pairs with the TURN+ ambient lamp to create layers of light. TURN provides focused illumination for the area close at hand, while TURN+ brings ambient light to the surrounding space. Use them together at the dinner table or as the evening continues, balancing practical illumination with atmosphere.
