This is the fourth installment in the “Onna no Michi” series (four-part series).
The woman who was called Shinobu in Shinjuku, Hiroko in Minami, and Naomi in Nishiki, called herself Yukari in Nakasu, Fukuoka.
In Nakasu, Fukuoka, her name was Yukari. “I want to live in New York someday,” she used to say.
It must have been two years since she disappeared from Nakasu.
Perhaps she has fulfilled her wish and is now living in New York.
I still think of her from time to time.
This is a profile of her in my memory, who may be in New York now.
