Founded in 1875, Kaikado is Japan's oldest established manufacturer of handmade tea canisters. Kaikado's tea canisters are unpainted, allowing you to enjoy the original austere beauty of the tin, and their mellow shine deepens as they are used. Once the lid is placed over the opening of the tea canister, it will naturally slide into place with a precision that only handmade pieces can achieve. As the tea canister is used over with the palm of your hand, you will enjoy the change of shine and color unique to the material, thus making it your own personal gem to cherish and use.
