SGHR RECYCLE is a new series of glassware collection made of waste glass from the SGHR Sugahara factory in Chiba, Japan. Each piece is designed and made by master artisans utilizing their handicraft and intuition as usual. This collection was inspired by the idea of having zero glass waste from our factory. Their goal is to support the environment and living by not wasting natural resources.

Unique colors
One of the most interesting things about the SGHR RECYCLE collection is that we don't know what the color will be until we actually melt the waste glass, and our master artisans cannot predict or control it. In another words, we will have different colors for every production and may even find new colors that we have never seen before.

The SGHR RECYCLE collection features minimal, beautiful designs that would easily fit into your lifestyle. Handcrafting glassware in simple design using 100% recycled glass is more difficult than in decorative design using non-recycled glass and it takes more of our artisans experience and skills. Saving and recycling limited natural sources
Glass is a resource efficient material which is made of a natural raw material in sand and is fully recyclable meaning it can be recycled over and over again. The SGHR RECYCLE collection was inspired by the idea that, in terms of our design and craftsmanship ethos, there should be a way for SGHR Sugahara to create that won't burden our environment and recycle limited natural sources efficiently. We would like, not only to adorn your everyday life, but also inspire and build eco-friendly living for the future.

NOTE:
The SGHR RECYCLE collection is made of 100% waste glass from our factory, which is collected, washed to remove any impurities and then melt down before being hand blown or placed in molds to create beautiful new products. Mixed colored glass result in a natural earthy hue from blue to green to carbon. Each recycled piece is one of a kind and the color may vary. A few small bubbles or lines may occur due to the nature of recycled glass.
