Gunji Pottery
Born in Tochigi prefecture in 1977. Ceramist based in Mashiko-cho, Tochigi prefecture. He is a creator of utuswa that utilizes elegant glaze finishes such as Hakuji and ash glazing with beautiful nonchalant shapes and natural lines that are reminiscent of flowing water. His works give the impression as though they are spontaneously made portraying tranquility and elegance.
Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
