Haruna Kawai
Born in 1992, Tokyo. Painter / sculptor. Kawai, mainly paints imaginary three-dimensional works. The imaginary three-dimensional object is a unique object that lies somewhere between a product and a sculpture, or between a design and a stage prop. Her works feature a pleasing composition that combines artificial yet simple forms with organic lines of branches, cloth, clouds, and other shapes that can never be reproduced again. There is indeed a spatial presence in her works, which at first glance can be described as sculpture, a painting, or even architecture, allowing the viewer to experience the sensation of being able to move between dimensions.
Note: Each piece is hand work by the artist, even the same piece will have a slightly different expression.
