Product Description
There is a particular pleasure in the weight of a cast iron kettle on the stove — in the slow build of heat, the soft sound of water beginning to move. OIGEN's Arare kettle carries 900 years of Nanbu Tekki ironwork tradition into that quiet ritual.
Founded as Oigen Genjuro Foundry, OIGEN has produced iron kettles and pots for generations. Each piece is made by hand: sand packed into molds by feel, molten iron watched by color, heavy forms lifted and lowered with care. The result is an object that improves with use — one that asks to be tended, and rewards the effort.
