OIGEN Foundry was established as Oigen Genjuro Foundry, carrying a legacy of iron casting techniques that has been handed down since the Hiraizumi period 900 years ago.
As a manufacturer of ironware, familiarly known as "Nanbu Tekki," the company has produced iron pots, iron kettles, and iron teapots for many generations.
However, the beauty of the time and effort that has been lost in the economic growth of our time has somehow been replaced by a more convenient lifestyle.
We do not live in an environment where a product can be made at the push of a button.
At the foundry, iron kettles and pots are carefully made by grasping sand for molds to feel its texture, observing the color of the molten iron in sweating heat, and repeatingly lifting and lowering heavy molds.
We believe that a lifestyle of spending time and effort on a piece of ironware and nurturing it is the "pleasure" of life.
