About Yokkoyama Hat Market
Yokkoyama Hat Market was born in 2015 in the Lower East Side of New York City, where designer Hirohisa Yokkoyama — winner of the Hat Designer of the Year 2008 award — established his own atelier and store. Originally conceived as a space to showcase his handcrafted hat line Hirohisa & Lewis*, the shop has grown into a beloved LES destination. Each hat is made by hand, one at a time. In recent years, Yokkoyama’s original graphic caps and T-shirts — featuring his own artwork — have also gained a strong following both locally and beyond.
