Chisato Yasui

"What is visible and comprehensible is not the only truth. Where is the truth? How much of what is invisible, inexpressible, and in a realm of constant transformation accounts for in this world?"

She pursues this question and draws out the context through her ceramic work.

Chisato Yasui was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1984. In 2007, he graduated from the University of Tsukuba, majoring in arts, and in 2010, completed the first half of the doctoral course at the same university, graduate school, majoring in arts, ceramics. Major solo exhibitions in recent years include “Watashi no Whereabouts-2” (Inter Flower Designs, Ibaraki, 2021), “Luxuriant” (ARTISAN pâtissier ITABASHI, Ibaraki, 2021), “CHISATO YASUI SOLO EXHIBITION” (Ishii Collection, Tokyo, Japan). 2021), etc. Awards include 55th Women's Ceramic Art Exhibition, Selected (Kyocera Museum of Art, Kyoto, 2021), ITSLIQUID INTERNATIONAL CONTEST 8th EDITION, The prize winning of International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Venice (Venice, Italy, 2021). His works are in collections such as Vessel gallery (London, UK), Tortoise (California, USA), CIBONE Brooklyn NYC (New York, USA).
