LoveFrom, BALMUDA Sailing Lantern

Sailing Lantern is a portable, rechargeable LED lantern designed by Sir Jony Ive’s creative collective LoveFrom in collaboration with BALMUDA. Inspired by historic nautical lanterns and Fresnel lamps, it combines classic maritime design with precise modern engineering.

Precision-machined stainless steel, polished glass, and gold lens-guard details give this limited-edition lantern its distinctive finish. A single dial controls brightness and color temperature, creating a gentle, candle-like glow for quiet evenings, outdoor dinners, or time aboard a boat.

Light and Durability

• Two LEDs with digital controls and an adjustable, flame-like glow
• IP67-rated protection against dust and water, designed to withstand splashes, sudden downpours, and brief accidental submersion
• Textured recycled polyester lanyard resistant to salt, sun, and oil, secured with a corrosion-resistant stainless steel button
• Designed for long-term use, with maintenance, disassembly, repair, and end-of-life recycling in mind

• Continuous use: Approximately 4 hours at maximum brightness to 65 hours at minimum brightness, depending on settings

• Charging requires a USB Type-C to C cable and a power adapter supporting an output of 5V/2A or higher

Care

For regular care, gently wipe the lantern with the included cleaning cloth. If saltwater or sand comes into contact with the lantern, rinse thoroughly with clean water, especially around the dial. Check that no residue remains, allow the lantern to dry completely, and then gently wipe it with the cloth. Follow the instruction manual for safe use and maintenance.
